Saint Levant Seattle Concert reviews
Red Rocks was christened "Grace Rocks" !
What a night! A "Bucket List" trip to Red Rocks in Colorado ended with the Saint Levant band, following Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, and leading off with JJ Gray and Mofro. The show went on from 6:30 pm to after midnight.
Grace Potter, no doubt, blew the place off the rocks with her high usual energy and great vocals, enhanced by the amazing setting and acoustics of Red Rocks. Her show lasted for 1 1/2 hours and the energy grew as the show went on, with everyone dancing and singing along. Quite a few who came for Saint Levant were blown away by Grace Potter, making new fans in the process. This is just typical of a Grace Potter night as she leaves it all on the stage.
After Grace Potter's show, the energy in the place was spent. Saint Levant couldn't rise above that, leaving it pretty flat for me and our crowd. Susan Tedeschi has a great voice and vocals, and her lead songs were a highlight. We've seen her show a few other times and she always takes you right there with her.
